Childhood development is largely unrelated to specific events. We develop through learned reactions to consistent events. For example, when a baby cries and they are either cared for or neglected; consistent behaviour will teach a baby to trust or distrust others.
There is another form of development that comes from inciting events. These are one-off moment when you form vows (good or bad). I call them “lines in the sand” moments.
What’s childhood memory that you know was a “lines in the sand”moment?
The Tin Man (Wizard of Oz) was on a quest for New Heart. He was rusty from neglect and had a void in his chest cavity where a heart was supposed to go.
In the story, all the characters got what they were looking for, but the message of the story is that what they were looking for within themselves. It’s sad, but that’s the greatest deception.
Only God can give you what you’re missing. Sin distorted the world and everything in it, including ourselves. We need God to restore us and creation.
Many believers settle for an “improved” heart, rather than a new heart. New Heart worship flags are a declaration of truth that you’ve received a new heart so that you may know the fullness of Christ and victoriously live by the Spirit.
Without a New Heart, it’s impossible to know Jesus. Release grace and hope as your worship with New Heart worship flags.
